So Comfortable! Bought these after a much loved pair of Meindl boots had to be retired to dog walking duties. Needed a pair of comfortable boots for my wide feet and tried on so many boots in a week my head was spinning.
Eventually settled for these and after a rapid 10 mile walk in rough (for surrey) terrain I am extremely happy with them.
If they fit your feet, buy em!

Bought these from KBC last year after my Meindl boots tread gave up after 18 months. Nice fit and comfortable, but it wasn’t until I’d given them a thorough test over the fells of the Lake District did I appreciate the technology in the soles. Carrying a heavy backpack these give both fantastic cushioning and they are rigid too which helps with foot fatigue. All day hikes are nothing to be afraid of now and foot fatigue is zero (can’t say that about the rest of me though). Feet nice an dry even in the worst wet, boggy and snow conditions. Done a couple of hundred miles in these now over all the best the Lakes can throw during winter and spring 2016/2017 with no issues and the grip ascending and descending is fantastic. Classed as a trekking boot, but these are equally happy on the hills and crags.

Had these boots now for over two years, and have easily covered 600+ miles and 250+ hills in them, in every type of weather and terrain, and they have proven to be absolutely brilliant. The quality of the materials is superb, and they still look like nearly new with minimal maintenance. The built in support and cushioning is luxurious, particularly around the arch, the opening and on the instep which makes them so comfortable right from the off. Never had any comfort problems even on the longest all day hikes, and have remained perfectly dry and toasty even in the heaviest rain and snow. Strong and firm, but still decent for scrambles with good grip. The brilliant roller cams on the lower lace eyes make it a them a doddle to lace up just right, and your laces last forever as a result too. Cannot recommend these boots highly enough. Best hill gear I’ve ever bought, worth every penny. Tremendous value in the long run.

I have been using walking boots for 40+ years, some good, some not so good. The advice from Alex was good, my only concern was they may be overkill for someone who mainly walks 10-12 miles per day in the Cotswolds and surrounding areas. Alex said they should be fine so I bit the bullet and bought them.
The boots arrived and I was stunned by the quality. I could not decide if I should display them on the mantelpiece or wear them. They are comfortable straight out of the box despite a stiff sole. They just seem to roll nicely and your feet feel very secure on all terrain. I walked about 8 miles on a mix of trail, grass, rocks and mud and I forgot I was wearing them! When I returned to the start I had no fatigue in my feet and this is staggering for new boots straight out of the box!
Yes, they are expensive but I want quality comfortable boots so for me the price is secondary. I would highly recommend these boots.

I visited the Keswick Boot Company in September 2017 as I have difficult feet sizes (wide forefoot and slightly different left/right sizes) after excellent service I purchased these boots, primary objective to walk the Annapurna circuit in Nepal. These boots were brilliant. they broke in with ease. After 180KM walking and 28,000 feet of ascent around the Annapurna range in all types of conditions I had perfectly comfortable boots, no blisters or any other ailments.
I would highly recommend these boots and this shop for it’s service, which I will use again.

I bought a pair of Aku Superalp leather boots from you on Sunday, and am so thrilled with them, I just wanted to say ‘thanks’!

As per your recommendation, my wife and I did a lovely walk around Buttermere on Sunday afternoon. I wore my very old boots. Then today I took the foolhardy (!) decision to wear my new boots (& socks !) today for a 10 mile + route from Buttermere village, up to Haystacks, over to Honistor slate mine and back to Buttermere. Wow, my boots were so comfortable all day, out of the box, and so supportive. Quite genuinely, my feet felt less tired after that than the lap of Buttermere in my old boots. Genuinely thrilled with my purchase!

So thanks for your buying advice.

Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the Keswick Boot co, or Aku boots.
